*** Critical Need for Foster Homes ***

Foster homes help puppies learn important social skills. Fostering adult dogs gives them the time to recover from their previous life on the mean streets. We have only 90 days to reduce the number of puppies and dogs at Dog House Art House. We are in critical need of foster homes to save the lives of the animals in our care and reduce the burden on the rescue during this difficult time. Fostering is a short commitment and you get to help a homeless puppy or dog find their forever home. Please be a helper! Contact us if you are interested in our foster program.

These are just a few of our female puppies and dogs that are ready for their new homes. We have many more that are not posted on the website, but are available for adoption. If you are looking for a specific breed or breed mix, contact us for information about them. **Important** Please include the code PC after the dog's name to help identify our rescue in the application process.

Shakira PC Basics: Shakira- spayed female, approx 3 years, about 20 lbs, Terrier mix, black sable, good with kids, cats, dogs, house/crate trained, leash experienced. Location: fostered in South Texas area, but can be transported to other states.	Shiva PC I'm smart & a very active gal pal. I know sit, shake & down. I love going on runs & biking with Foster Mom. I howl when I'm alone for too long & wouldn’t make a great apartment dog. I really love toys, but attention & companionship are my favorite things. They say I'm an American Bulldog/pit mix DOB 9/28/22, 40lbs, Spayed. Good with dogs but needs more socializing. Some chicken & pig experience too. Great with kids. Fostered in Goliad TX, but can be transported out of state.	Tillie My name is Tillie and I’m needing a new family. I am good with kids, cats and dogs. I am a cute little mixed breed dog, not sure of what). If you look at dogs breeds, I do favor a Patterdale Terrier, which is true because my feet do pitter patter. I am about 5 years old, up to date with shots and spayed. I am crate and potty trained. I enjoy having a yard to run and play. Can be transported out of state.
Julia Jones PC I’m a best friend to everyone. I got a cute squish face & teeny ears likely from Sharpei, blue eyes & a fabulous curly tail, Husky? I'm a wonderful dog, easy, plays well, always smiling, gets along with all sizes & temperaments of dogs. So far only one dog doesn’t enjoy me, so I just ignore her. Spayed 1 y/o, 50 lbs. Sharpei/Husky/Lab mix, good with dogs & kids. NOT cat tested. Fostered in Goliad TX can be transported out of state.	Delaney Dawn PC Back in the spring time, I was sprung from a shelter in sad shape. I was severely neglected & not given Heartworm prevention then tested positive for heartworms. I’m currently on medication. Foster Mom has been giving me lots of love & food. I'm filling out & feeling so much better. Spayed Blackmouth Cur mix. About 1-2 y/o, medium size. Good with dogs & kids. NOT good with cats. Crate trained. Fostered in south TX, but can be transported out of state.	Florence PC My sisters are Bernadette & Francis (she's not listed yet). I'm the adorable brindle one & fairly calm, for a puppy. I patiently wait for my turn to get attention & don't beg for it. I’m a sweet & calm girl. Our big round eyes & flappy hound ears make the humans think we're Beagle/Terrier mixes. Bernadette PC I’m a sister to Florence & Francis. Florence is brindle & Francis is strawberry blonde-ish. I'm a reddish brown, sort of Dachshund colored. We are Beagle/Terrier mixes. My daily agenda is fairly mundane but in a good way! Normal routine life, is where it’s at. I do a walk. Do a sit, maybe a shake, the paw kind not the milk kind. Then I take a cat-nap, a literal one, I sleep with the cat on occasion.	Licorish PC I'm a Lab/Catahoula mix puppy. Licorish is a really cool name for a black puppy, because I’m named after a black candy. And I’m sweet as most candies are sweet, except ironically licorice! Licorish also rhymes with Make A Wish & my wish is to be adopted my a family. I'm a good girl & look forward to being your dog. I'm spayed,16 w/o, Lab/Catahoula mix. Good with dogs & kids.
